Inspired to Go! and Inspired to Go Further!

This year the diocese of Salisbury is repeating the very popular ‘Inspire to Go’ Mission workshop day and extending it to both the north and south as venues will be  Market Lavington on 16th January and in Dorchester on 30th January. 

Following the successful format of previous years the day offers a choice of 9 workshops to encourage and inspire parishes to hear about mission activities that have been tried and tested across the area. 

The Ramsbury area event will include workshops on Fun Church and All age worship, Ministry to the elderly, Addressing the recession, Mission and Outreach, Sharing Stories, Mission within primary and secondary schools and more….

The Sherborne area will be offering workshops on Community Angels, Sharing Stories, Discipleship within existing congregations, Good news down the Street, Pulham holiday club, Messy church, Connecting with contemporary culture, and discovery groups for children and youth.

The day is open to both lay and clergy of all denominations who are interested in building a mission based church within their community. 

Bishop Stephen commented “ All of us sometimes need a springboard into action with and for our communities; these workshop days together provide just the liftoff we need, which will help us respond even more vividly to God’s call”

Everyone is very welcome to attend. There will be a small charge of £5 for the day which will include a light lunch.
